Spotlight
Spotlight
Katherine Leary Alsdorf,
CFW Founder

For the past 10 years, Katherine has been dedicated to exploring the power of the gospel to change the work lives of contemporary professionals at Redeemer and in NYC. Under the umbrella of the Center for Faith & Work (founded in January 2003), she has pioneered programs to equip, connect, and mobilize those called by Jesus to serve in the world. Her passion has been for Redeemer and churches everywhere to more fully appreciate the importance of the church as a “priesthood of all believers” who are called by God to serve Him in vocations in all spheres of culture. The Gotham Fellowship, Vocation Groups, Arts & Culture programs, and the Entrepreneurship Initiative (Ei) were all birthed by Katherine to help institutionalize a deep understanding and outworking of a theology of work throughout our congregation.

After 10 years, Katherine is turning CFW leadership over to the next generation, led by Rev. David H. Kim. She’ll continue to contribute in a variety of roles, including facilitating small discussion groups around the new book, Every Good Endeavor: Connecting Your Work to God’s Work.

As 2013 begins with many changes in store, we want to take time this month to honor & recognize our founder, Katherine Leary Alsdorf, who has shaped and led the ministry of CFW for the past ten years! Please join us on Sunday, January 13th for CFW's 10th Anniversary party to publicly thank her and celebrate God's faithfulness throughout the last decade. Details below.

May Christ's finished work empower and renew our own, as we enter back into our workplaces across every sector of culture this year.

Sincerely,

David, Amilee, Kenyon, Calvin, & Chris
