OCTOBER 2015

Dear {first}, We believe that the arts are critical to the flourishing of our city. Artists steward the development of a healthy imagination that is crucial to innovation in every sector and vocation. When artists create, there is a sense of awe and wonder because we experience something integral to our being created in the image of God. We promote the arts because it leads to the flourishing of our city and expresses materially the manifold glory of God. For this reason, we are excited to announce our new Faith & Art Lecture Series. Our inaugural lecture, Three Visions Necessary for a Christian Artist, will feature artist and pastor Vito Aiuto as he expounds on three modes of vision that engender artistic excellence for the person of faith. We are also thrilled to announce our 2015 Fall Artists-in-Residence. Visual artists Caroline Washburn and Alix Pentecost Farren will be creating new work commissioned by CFW through our residency program designed to support local artists. Lastly, we hope that you have now explored the new website of the Center for Faith & Work. This month we want to share with you a behind the scenes look at how our new branding was developed. Hear our designer talk about how they helped reimagine CFW in a special video offering HERE. Hope to see you soon, David H. Kim |
