Center for Faith and Work
DEC. 6, 2017

Dear {first},

Advent ought to lead us toward reflection in the midst of expectant waiting. But often the holiday season is characterized by a chaotic rush to the year’s end which, instead of filling our souls, leads to their atrophy. How can we recapture a sense of the glory that awaits us in Christ - a glory that will one day outshine all the darkness of our present age?

CFW has three offerings we hope will expand the soul of your work this winter. Our 6-week Faith & Work Class begins January 24 and our Soul of Work Retreat is January 26-28. The two can be taken separately or together to establish a new rhythm of work and rest in the new year. In addition, we recommend Real Life Prayer: A Faith & Work Prayer Journey which is an online 10-week course utilizing prayer to re-envision your work as a place of hope where God is actively bringing renewal.

We hope these opportunities will allow you to see the ever-present glory of Christ with increasing clarity, bringing with it a steadfast hope.

Merry Christmas,

David H. Kim, Executive Director, Center for Faith & Work

WORK & REST RETREAT: JANUARY 26-28

The unceasing buzz of New York can lead to the slow atrophy of our souls. We over-schedule. We under-rest. Join us for a weekend that focuses upon spiritual rest, while connecting with others within and across vocational spheres. Through times of guided teaching and reflection, we’ll explore how the gospel provides a life-giving rest for our souls. This weekend of refreshment is designed for rest and the development of spiritual rhythms that will integrate into the working lives of New Yorkers. Held in idyllic Princeton, NJ, lodging will be at Princeton Seminary's Erdman Center. More>
