Kingly Work and
the Paradox
of Power

Power is not inherently bad.  All of us possess an innate need to make an impact upon the world.  Yet, when we acquire power we tend to use that power for our selfish purposes rather than for the greater good.  Therefore, Christians in positions of power must be people of repentance.  We must be quick to turn away from our tendency to aggrandize ourselves. Most importantly, we must constantly look to the one who used his infinite power not to be served but to serve.
