The Soul
of Work:
Practice
September 22 @ 7:30 PM - September 22 @ 9:30 PM
The soul houses how and why we do what we do. It’s the epicenter of reform, continually seeking to mend what’s broken, always driving towards the unseen. So when work is done from the soul, it’s a confluence of body, mind, and spirit, evidencing a Creator that has elevated work above paychecks, promotions, and individual ambitions. Together, we’ll investigate what it means to work from the soul, to add depth, thoughtfulness, and passion to our most basic skills and loftiest goals.
Sourcing the soul of work might not mean a quantitative difference in our hours spent on the job, but it certainly invokes a qualitative difference in how we work. Whether it’s plumbing or politics, the gospel reminds us that our vocation must remain an expression of our identity, and not the source. Through this hands-on event, we’ll explore spiritual resources and practices that find and maintain the soul of work.
