Join David Kim, Executive Director of CFW, and Dr. David Kim, of Beacon Christian Community Health Center, for this event in our Soulful Work Lunch Series. Each month CFW will host dialogues with professionals from various industries, utilizing a practical theological framework to identify the inherent goodness of work, its outcomes, and the deeper questions it asks of us.

Lunch and a time of Q&A will be included.

David Kim, MD, MBA (Healthcare)

Dr. David Kim is a physician, founder and current CEO of Beacon Christian Community Health Center, New York State's first faith-based, federal and state-certified non-profit health center, which since 2006 has served a community of over 30,000 medically underserved in its mission field of northwestern Staten Island, New York City. Dr. Kim was a part of Columbia University Korea Campus Crusade for Christ (KCCC) during his time in college. He then went to SUNY Downstate College of Medicine, and subsequently completed a combined dual residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Staten Island University Hospital, Kings County Hospital and Downstate Medical Center. In 2013, Dr. Kim completed his Masters in Business Administration (Healthcare) at George Washington University School of Business.

As a medical student, Dr. Kim was involved with the start-up in 1996 of New York City's medical and dental student campus ministry, Intermed. Since then, he has been continuously involved with student and resident mentoring, and has spoken at local and national conferences, amongst other topics, about the significance and importance of integrating faith, work and life. Dr. Kim and his family attend Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Manhattan. He is a member of Christian Community Health Fellowship (CCHF), Christian Medical and Dental Associations (CMDA) and serves on CMDA's NYC Area Council. He is a Board member of the Community Health Care Association of New York State (CHCANYS) and has been invited by the White House Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships to participate in projects aimed at integrating faith and spiritual sensitivity into national health care policy and practice.

He is blessed with his wife, Dr. Janet Kim, and four incredible children.
