May 22 @ 7:00 PM - May 22 @ 9:00 PM
150 West 83rd Street
Join our friends at Redeemer’s Grace & Race for an event exploring the Asian American experience and how Asian Americans may possess a unique perspective to offer in movements and dialogue seeking racial justice.
Amidst the many conversations surrounding racial issues in America, the experiences, concerns and role of Asian Americans are often unclear and invisible, even among those in the Asian American community. The evening features celebrated author Min Jin Lee (Pachinko and Free Food for Millionaires), who spoke at CFW’s Gotham Imagination Saturday in March and Michael Luo, editor of newyorker.com, who was a featured speaker in CFW’s Soulful Work Lunch Series. They will discuss the uniqueness of the Asian American voice as they share from their personal and professional experience.
